Boy found shot in N.J. home, cops say

A boy was wounded after being found shot on the first floor of a home in East Orange on Saturday evening, officials said.
East Orange police were called to a house on the 100 block of South 17th Street at about 6:30 and found him lying near the staircase in the first-floor hallway with a single gunshot wound.
He was brought to an area hospital and is in stable condition on Monday morning, East Orange police said.
Police didn’t immediately provide his age except to say he is a juvenile. No arrests have been made and the shooting remains under investigation.
